XenDesktop allows users to use USB devices within their session. This feature requires that the administrator has setup a policy rule to allow USB redirection and the USB device is support on the VDI or SBC desktop.
Using XenDesktop 7 the button Devices went missing.
Hereby the solution to get the Devices button back.
Check if the files C:\Windows\System32\drivers\ctxusbr.sys and C:\Windows\System32\drivers\ctxusbm.sys exist on the Virtual Desktop or SBC Server.
1. On the client where Citrix Receiver is installed browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\ICA Client\Drivers64\ctxusbr
C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\ICA Client\Drivers64\ctxusbm
2. Copy the files from these folders to the XenDesktop VDI Desktop or the XenDesktop App server or XenApp Server. The location on the server is: C:\Windows\System32\drivers
Check if the following policy is enabled:
Set up a connection to the Desktop and check if the Devices button has returned and has values:
